Calibra Veterinary Diets Struvite Wet Cat Food has been developed to help dilute the crystal-forming substances and promotes water intake. By diluting the urine, RSS (relative supersaturation) of mineral levels can be reached that enable existing struvites to dissolve.
Due to the diets formulation the urinary pH can be lowered (urine acidification), which is one of the factors that prevents the formation of further struvites and supports the dissolution of existing stones.

Feeding instructions: Complete feed. Urine acidifying properties. It is recommended that advice from a veterinarian be sought before use and before extending the period of use. Recommended length of time: for struvite dissolution 5 to 12 weeks, for reduction of struvite stone recurrence initially up to 6 months. Water should be available at all times. Recommended daily amounts are shown in the feeding table and should be adapted to the actual condition.
